Avery’s Angels

Exchange Club of North Raleigh is a part of the all-volunteer, national service organization for people who want to serve their community, develop leadership skills, and enjoy new friendships. The Exchange Club of North Raleigh has been serving our local community since 1966. “Protecting Children, Inspiring Youth, Supporting Communities” is the club motto. Healing Transitions

First Carolina Bank has an employee that is a proud board member of Healing Transitions in Raleigh, NC. The mission of Healing Transitions is to offer innovative peer-based, recovery-oriented services to homeless, uninsured and underserved individuals with alcoholism and other drug addictions. Their program is specifically designed to rekindle a person's desire and ability to return to a meaningful and productive life.


Junior Achievement of Eastern NC

Since its founding in 1919, JA has contributed to the business and economics education of young people throughout the world. Junior Guild of Rocky Mount

The Junior Guild of Rocky Mount is an civic organization of women who focus their efforts on serving the needs of the Rocky Mount community through volunteer work. Each member commits to at least 36 hours of volunteerism per year and all proceeds are funneled back into the community. Its purpose is to foster interest in the social, economic, educational, cultural, and civic conditions of the community and make efficient their volunteer service. My Sister's House

Their vision is to be the most recognized, sustainable and respected organization providing hope, safe haven and supportive services while striving to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault. Volunteer efforts help keep dues low and affordable, particularly for the many small businesses in the area. Part of the mission of the Chamber is to promote, develop and encourage the business and civic interests of the local Nashville area businesses and residents.

The Collaborative is the lead agency for the North Carolina Saves campaign and works at the statewide level and in communities to implement and promote strategies to build economic security for low-to-moderate income families. The NCBA provides educational and training programs, media relations, insurance benefits programs, the Carolina Banker magazine, regulatory and compliance assistance, and other services to its member financial institutions. Ronald A. Day, President & CEO of First Carolina Bank, is currently serving a two year term on the NCBA’s Board of Directors. Kristen D. Brabble, Chief Administrative Officer, is currently serving a three year term on the NCBA’s Young Bankers Board. The Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce exists to foster economic growth and to advance the commercial, industrial, and civic well-being of the region through a strong, expanding business base. As a Cornerstone Partner, we are heavily involved with the Chamber. The purpose of the Partner Program is to provide the major portion of sustaining funds to carry out the Signature Events and Initiatives, which makes a difference in the well-being of our business community. We sponsor one Bank employee to attend the Twin Counties Leadership Development Program each year. This program is designed to prepare future business and community leaders by gaining an in-depth view of the Twin County issues, developing the skills necessary to assume leadership roles, and becoming more aware of community involvement opportunities. Each year, a member of our team serves as an Advisory Board Member on the North Eastern Entrepreneur Roundtable (NEER). NEER seeks to foster, promote and support the entrepreneurial spirit in Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash, and Wilson Counties. Currently, our Chief Administrative Officer is serving on the Board of Directors. Also, one employee serves on the Small Business Committee.


Rocky Mount Kiwanis Club

 Kiwanis clubs, located in 80 nations, help their communities in countless ways. Each community's needs are different-so each Kiwanis club is different. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things happen. The Rocky Mount Kiwanis Club grants scholarships to High School Seniors from local public and private schools, NC Wesleyan College, Edgecombe Community College and Nash Community College. They also sponsor clubs in junior and senior high schools, which reflect what the Kiwanis club promotes. First Carolina Bank is a proud member of the Rocky Mount Kiwanis Club.
